Diane Daych is a Managing Partner and Co-Founder at Granite Growth Health Partners. With over 30 years of investing, advisory and operating experience, and more than 25 years in health services, she brings both a strong proven track-record and forward-thinking approach to her engagements with investment partners.

Prior to founding Granite Growth, Diane led Apple Tree Partners’ healthcare services investing team, helping establish a robust portfolio of investments within the space. From 2010 to 2012, she was a managing director and co-head of Private Equity at the Marwood Group. Previously, she was a partner and principal at CCP Equity Partners, where she led and participated in notable investments including Cogent Healthcare, Evolution Benefits, RelayHealth, Bravo Health, and Vantage Oncology.

Diane is passionate about offering advocacy and thought leadership in her sector. As such, she embraces her roles on the Board of Directors of CleanSlate Outpatient Addiction Medicine, Three Oaks Hospice and Acute Behavioral Health. She is a past Chair of the Healthcare Private Equity Association (HCPEA) and was previously on the Board of the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA), the Tuck Center for Private Equity and Venture Capital and QualDerm Partners.

Diane earned an MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College and a BA in Economics from Lehigh University.

Mark Brooks

Mark Brooks is a managing partner and co-founder at Granite Growth. He possesses 25 years of experience investing in, managing and operating high growth leaders in the health services space, as well as deep expertise as an advisor.

Prior to his role at Granite, Mark co-founded MMC Health Services and Scale Venture Partners, a diversified venture firm with over $1.5 billion assets under management. There, he co-led the healthcare group for more than 15 years. Before joining Scale Venture Partners, Mark was a longtime team member of Mercer Management Consulting, managing projects for companies in the health services and telecommunications industries, as well as with Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company.

Mark sits on the Board of Directors of Three Oaks Hospice, CleanSlate Outpatient Addiction Medicine, ABS Kids, Cutis Care and Acute Behavioral Health. He has helped a number of companies successfully exit health services investments, including IPC The Hospitalist Company (now TeamHealth), Healogics, U.S. HealthWorks, New Century Hospice and QualDerm Partners.

Mark holds an MBA in Finance and Management from The Wharton School and a BA in Economics from Dartmouth College.

Diane earned an MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College and a BA in Economics from Lehigh University.

Paul Brown

Paul Brown is an Advisory Partner at Granite Growth. He is deeply involved in academia, holding the James Lee Sorenson Presidential Chair and serving as a professor of entrepreneurship at the University of Utah’s David Eccles School of Business. He is the co-director of the University of Utah’s Master’s in Business Creation program and an entrepreneur in residence at the University of Utah’s Center for Medical Innovation.

Prior to teaching, Paul was a managing director at Sandbox Industries in Chicago, where he co-founded and co-led the firm’s $300M healthcare venture capital fund. Before joining Sandbox, Paul was a vice president at the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, where he served on the CEO’s strategy council. Previous to that, he was also a partner in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP.

In addition to his other roles, Paul serves on the boards of CleanSlate Outpatient Addiction Medicine, JQ Medical Supply, SwellCX, Cinch Solutions, and Amplify. He was previously on the board of QualDerm Partners.

Paul earned a JD from the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and dual BAs from the University of Utah.
