CleanSlate Southwest Earns CARF® Accreditation For Addiction Treatment Program Excellence
ARIZONA (January 7, 2020) – CleanSlate Outpatient Addiction Medicine, a national medical group providing integrated medication-assisted treatment and behavioral health therapies for the chronic disease of addiction, recently received three-year accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for Office-Based Opioid Treatment: Addiction Pharmacotherapy (Adult Program) certification for its Arizona centers. CARF ® accreditation demonstrates a program’s commitment to the highest quality treatment methods.
To earn accreditation, CleanSlate centers in Arizona underwent a rigorous peer review process including a combination of on-site visits, leadership surveys, interviews with care teams and patients, and operations reviews. CleanSlate demonstrated its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable and of the highest quality.
“We are honored to receive CARF accreditation, as it reinforces the validity and efficacy of our opioid addiction treatment programs,” said Sally Combast, MD, Area Medical Director from CleanSlate. “We are passionate about helping people reclaim their lives from the disease of addiction – and this designation shows our work extends beyond passion and into attainable, high-quality results.”
CARF accreditation is the highest accolade awarded through CARF International, an independent, nonprofit accreditor of health and human services. An organization receiving a three-year accreditation demonstrates substantial conformance to CARF standards, which are developed with the input of providers, consumers, payers and other experts from around the world.
“This marks the beginning of an important process for our organization,” said Maria Scoville, Vice President, Medical Affairs and Regulatory for CleanSlate. “We are dedicated to the principals of quality and excellence in opioid addiction treatment and intend to pursue CARF accreditation across our 80 locations as a demonstration of that commitment.”
