CleanSlate Opens Medication Treatment Center in Louisville to Combat “#1 Threat to Kentucky”

Louisville, KY – CleanSlate Centers, a national leader in outpatient medication-assisted treatment for opioid and alcohol addiction, is now seeing patients by appointment or walk-in at its new center in Louisville, Kentucky. The office-based center, located at 210 E. Gray St, Suite 803, Louisville, began seeing patients last month.

“We’ve been able to see most patients within 24 hours, and it’s been truly rewarding to extend hope and relief for patients and their families struggling with the diseases of opioid and alcohol addiction,” said Cory McConnell, Expansion Business Partner for CleanSlate.

Having treated more than 30,000 patients over the past decade, CleanSlate’s program of care includes appropriate medication treatment prescribed by licensed medical providers, as well as clear accountability, supportive counseling and care coordination. With more than 9,000 active patients across 48 centers nationwide, the medical group is aggressively growing its footprint to expand much-needed access to medication treatment for addiction.

“We are so excited to expand access to our evidence-based treatment across Kentucky. It has been refreshing to meet and work with so many like-minded community partners in the Louisville area,” said Rachael Thompson, Regional Director of Operations for Indiana and Kentucky.

The opioid epidemic has severely impacted the state of Kentucky, where at least four Kentuckians die every day from opioid overdose. Andy Beshear, Kentucky’s Attorney General, has called the opioid crisis the “number one threat to the state” and has promised to continue the fight against opioid addiction. “I don’t have to tell you all that’s somebody’s son, that’s somebody’s parent, that’s somebody who is loved and who we will never see again,” Beshear said when he spoke to the Heroin Impact Response Task Force in Erlanger last month.

The grandmother of a CleanSlate patient in Louisville expressed gratitude. “Thank you, you saved my granddaughter’s life,” she wrote to CleanSlate. “I’m in recovery myself and let me tell you, we’ve been to other places and no one has ever met her with so much empathy. I can tell you really care.”

Appointments at the Louisville center can be made by calling 502-238-9462. The center is also seeing patients who walk in.
